Fur farming

Fur activity of Belkoopvneshtorg Belkoopsoyuza is represented by fur farm: "Grodnenskoe zverokhozyaistvo".

In the area of the village Strievka, Grodno district, a project of building facilities for cellular maintenance and breeding of fur animals is implemented - fur farm of Belkoopvneshtorg Belkoopsoyuza, Trade Unitary Enterprise. Scandinavian genotype shortened spine is bred in the new fur farm "Grodnenskoe zverokhozyaistvo". 5304 of Scandinavian genotype minks of white, pearl and black colors have been imported from the Kingdom of Denmark in January 2015. After reaching full capacity this fur farm will produce more than 150,000 mink pelts, which are mainly export-oriented. Breeding work on the reproduction and production of high-quality mink fur is held at all the fur farms. Production of fur farms is in demand in the country and abroad and is sold in the international fur auctions.
